All of the "download" links on this page: http://docs.fedoraproject.org/
should refer to http://fedoraproject.org/get-fedora.html
and NOT: http://redhat.download.fedoraproject.org (a very strange site that is inconsistent with the wiki, etc. in terms of naming conventions, appearance, etc.).
FWIW... navigation to http://docs.fedoraproject.org/ comes from "help" on the main page: http://fedoraproject.org/index.html

get-fedora.html is not a new canonical-forever-dowload-source page, although it is possible the URL is. Still, it's worth a switch, which should propagate within the hour.

Technically, the link was to download.fedoraproject.org, which in fact *is* the long-standing canonical URL. It however is not as helpful as get-fedora.html, so is worth the switch. We need to decide which is the canonical reference page.
Getting all the extraneous sites under the same look/feel and etc. is IMO a need (and win) for the Fedora Websites team.

I'm not 100% sure I like the Help => docs.fp.o distinction, but I've left it.
One thing Máirín and I discussed is that non-newbie users may not be coming for "help" but rather for content on "how to" do stuff. We wanted to create a different paradigm that was inclusive for newbie to advanced user. The idea was "Do stuff", that is, content about how to do things with Fedora.
So, maybe I'll change "Help" to "How to"?

Fair enough... sorry if I came in too strong.
I was looking at all of this from the perspective of someone with little familiarity with Fedora and also trying to keep with the new simplified approach of "less information equals more" :)

Why not call it: "Docs" Fedora Documentation?
FWIW... when I'm looking for documentation at a project that I am not familiar with, I'm looking for *docs* or *documentation* not "help" or "how tos".

Sure! I was just making it clear that, yes, a decision needs to be made about what the canonical "get Fedora" URL is we pass around, and no, I don't think the decision has been made.
Or has it? Maybe it has. :)

I just updated HEAD in CVS; that should update the main site, and most/some mirrors will pick up the content later. In essence, "Help" was misleading, why not just call a duck a duck instead of a fowl?

Maybe you can have get.fp.o rather than download.fp.o so that we can hav e a canonical location for all forms of distribution rather than just downloads.
