Hello there,
Anyone got a link to the new join-fedora page?
If there is none. Will the "roles" (Content Writer, OS Developer, etc) of today change?
I've done a change to the Wiki join page to clarify how and where you may contribute to the Fedora sub-projects.
I've added an 'Examples of where and how you can contribute in this role:' section. See: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Join#Content_Writer
This is to make it simpler to join and to get the information needed for a decision on becoming a contributor. Hopefully this increases contribution to the different Fedora sub-project.
I also thought about implementing a standard "Where and how you can contribute" table for each sub-project. This is again to simplify the join process and increase the number of contributors. I also believe this may increase movement between sub-projects and number of people that contribute to several projects.
Example of how that may look like: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User:Magnusg/Contribution_table_draft
So.. I wonder how and if the new fedora-join page may affect the implementation of this standard "Where and how can yo contribute" table for each sub-project?

They will disappear completely, and instead the page will become a brochure extolling the virtues of becoming a Fedora contributor, with a link to /wiki/Join at the bottom. See the transcript of the latest Websites group meeting for details.

Actually I didn't think of them as disappearing. I thought we'd have a 'brochure' per role describing it...

I see. Well, if so, there is no problem using "roles" on the Wiki sub-project pages. Do you think the brochure roles pages may feature links to the corresponding role section on the /wiki/join page (as it is now)?

So, will the /wiki/Join page will still feature "roles"?

Yes, that's the plan.
