I tried installing chrome in the end as per https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Chromium, it wouldnt:

Please contact "spot[1]" for details on this wiki page. It isn't a package in the Fedora repositories, it's a test package that he builds and provides. It does say: "Note: The above repository has not been updated since July 2011 and does not contain packages for stable release(s) of Fedora."
You can try the copr repository as noted on the page, but it will still be an unofficial package that you will not get support for from Fedora. Only the individual maintainers are responsible for these repositories.
