This is what I love about the ever flexible, change on any random
whim, driver model in linux - the changes are so thoroughly tested
on every piece of hardware in the universe before release :-).
For the 4th time now, a new kernel has killed my system in the
exact same driver:

Fortunately, I'm really good at recognizing this bug now,
having had so much practice over the years...
