Allegedly, on or about 13 December 2017, Antonio M sent:
Tim, you are right: after reboot anything worked again.
It's not always necessary, but worth remembering that if things behave
oddly after software updates you may have to:
a. Log out and back in again.
b. Or, reboot.
It depends on what was in the set of updates.
I apologize for the delay in answering but your email was sent to
Spam, shame on Gmail :-)
That's down to another flawed idea about spam rejection (in this case,
because of the mailing list sending mail *from* me through their
service). Nothing I can do about it, little the mailing list can do
about it, and you probably can't do anything much about it, either.
I gave up on anti-spam software, years ago. I just make sure that my
email addresses are kept private. I get very few spams, and don't have
to deal with false positives and negatives.

There is no point trying to privately email me, I only get to see
the messages posted to the mailing list.
Using Windows software is like coating all your handtools with sewage.
