Do you mean /etc/yum.conf ?
Yes. I can't do updates without it..
I don't think mine changed from FC3 to FC4.
Even the files in /etc/yum.repos.d/ didn't need to be changed,
as they had $releasever rather than 3 or 4, eg
baseurl=http://ftp.heanet.ie/pub/fedora/linux/core/$releasever/$basearch/os/
The only thing that actually changed, as far as I can see,
is /etc/fedora-release , which now reads
"Fedora Core release 4 (Stentz)".
Alright. Well, I amended my /etc/yum.conf file to only read the
following:
[main]
cachedir=/var/cache/yum
debuglevel=2
logfile=/var/log/yum.log
pkgpolicy=newest
distroverpkg=fedora-release
tolerant=1
exactarch=0
I will give things a try this way. Seems to be working right now. Will
know later if it really worked..
Thanks again for your thoughts..
Stentz? Who or what is a Stentz?
