That is how I do it. There are only 4 packages involved: firefox,
libgnomeui, libbonoboui, and (with FC5) gnome-keyring. Those are the
only i386 packages I intentionally install on my machine (aside from
those that come along as part of the x86_64 base/updates), and I
merely watch for updates to those packages. When I see them, I
manually run yum update, enabling the i386 repo.
