well, lets see. you do not show all of your commands, that is, the
command line prompt, so it is hard to know if you are doing above
as 'root' user or as 'user'. you _must_ be 'root'.

cp -a /media/FC5 /tmp/
Make all changes in /tmp/FC5. ( this i'm able to modify successfully ),
probably bcoz its no longer a image & is just a directory....
now i have trouble figuring out how to use the mkisofs command!!
please advice...
did you do that as 'root' or 'user'.?
