*further thought*
as long as you will be making backups of both linux and oos,
you really do not need to 'move' linux on sda3.
i would suggest;
delete old sda3
create new sda2 as swap
create new sda3 as /
restore linux to sda3
time it would take to restore linux to sda3 will not be that much longer
than a 'move' and you will gain swap partition.

having recently converted a win7 laptop to a dual boot, i would suggest
you take time to pull "gparted" and forget about using older
"parted".
you can pull latest release from;
http://gparted.org/livecd.php
do read the page and links to insure you are familiar with what you
wish to do.
