Looks like, at the bare minimum, you should install the "gspcav1" rpm, and the correct "gspcav1-kmdl-<kver>" rpm, that exactly matches the kernel version you're running.
rpms kernel version matches.
I send a mail to the gspca maintener who told me that this module isn't for my cam and that I have to take the uvcvideo driver (http://linux-uvc.berlios.de/)
Unfortunaly, after successful compile and install, when I want to load it :
[root@lns-bzn-22-82-249-91-178 ~]# modprobe uvcvideo FATAL: Error inserting uvcvideo (/lib/modules/2.6.18-1.2239.fc5/usb/media/uvcvideo.ko): Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)
and new in /var/log/messges
kernel: uvcvideo: disagrees about version of symbol video_devdata kernel: uvcvideo: Unknown symbol video_devdata kernel: uvcvideo: disagrees about version of symbol video_unregister_device kernel: uvcvideo: Unknown symbol video_unregister_device kernel: uvcvideo: disagrees about version of symbol video_device_alloc kernel: uvcvideo: Unknown symbol video_device_alloc kernel: uvcvideo: disagrees about version of symbol video_register_device kernel: uvcvideo: Unknown symbol video_register_device kernel: uvcvideo: disagrees about version of symbol video_device_release kernel: uvcvideo: Unknown symbol video_device_release
Looks like you compiled the kernel module against a version of the kernel that's different than the running kernel's version.
You need to be very careful when doing this, by hand. You're much better off searching for a pre-built rpm that does this for you.
