You will loose them.
As /var has never, ever been meant to be put into RAM, putting /var into RAM is an unwise
idea and will cause
malfunctions.
you will lose data and configurations
MOST applications are storing their stuff in /var/lib/ as default
and last but not least RPM-DATABASE, so if you want to trash
your system delete /var/lib/rpm
* samba users
* mysql data
* pgsql data
* dhcp leases
