How can I check that it is executed?
Modify the .vnc/xstartup for example as follow:
1. only start an xterm
----------------------------------------
set -x
unset SESSION_MANAGER
unset DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS
xterm
----------------------------------------
restart "vncserver :1"
2. trace xinitrc
----------------------------------------
set -x
unset SESSION_MANAGER
unset DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS
sh -x /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc
----------------------------------------
restart "vncserver :1"
Then examine the log: .vnc/euripide\:1.log
Look also in the system journal: gnome logs in it (I think).
