It turned out that the controller software is only available debian
packaged. So unless the android app will do the job it's a nogo -:(
The android app should suffice these days. I setup the controller
because the app wasn't as full-featured when I got my unifi, but I did
use the app to do a basic setup first.
Packaging the unifi for fedora isn't all that bad. I made a basic
package, but I never got around to adding an init script or systemd
support. I just start the app manually when I need it.

I've run the controller on fedora-22 and centos-6. I run it like so:
cd /usr/share/unifi && sudo -u unifi java -jar /usr/share/unifi/lib/ace.jar
start
Also worth noting is that version 5.x is now out. I didn't update to
that immediately. I'd rather wait until it's been around a bit longer
and I have some need of the new features.
