(the previous message is not good - ....it started because of my error... )
In order to grow the swap partition, I made this:
============
resize2fs -p /dev/mapper/fedora_localhost-home
resize2fs -p /dev/mapper/localhost-home 700G
lvresize --size 651G /dev/fedoralocalhost-home
----------- the command pvscan gave me this output:
PV /dev/sda2 VG fedora_localhost lvm2 931 GB 227 GB free
============
After I gained the space,
...I had to resize the sawp partition, to finish my job ...
...but instead I restarted the computer.
At the boot the computer started in emergency mode, and
in the file journalctl I learned that fsck failed and the /home directory wasn't mounted...
I used e2fsck to check the file system and got this message :
***** FILE SYSTEM WAS MODIFIED *****
/dev/sda: xxx/yyy files (0.3% non-contiguous), zzzz/wwww blocks
I know what mean file not
contiguous but : why this could happen
?
Can I do something to repair this file system and to get the computer to boot ?
Thank you
