Yes, but when I change the address to its name, like this: pc005:/home/rep-export /home/rep-import nfs defaults 0 0 it gives me an error: mount to NFS server "pc005" failled !!!

192.168.1.5:/home/rep-export /home/rep-import nfs defaults 0 0
you may want to change it to the name

/etc/exports: /home/rep-export *(rw,no_root_squash)

There is no error is added to the /var/log/messages file. Apparently, the problem is that my PC does'nt recognize the name of the server (pc005). (but ping pc005 works fine!). I have added in /etc/hosts this line: 192.168.1.5 pc005 but the problem persists.
Do you know what must I do to resolve this problem.
Thnx. Lil
