And what about an  "Older articles" link? 
Some articles are on the spot like a new version or a deprecated software, but others have no due date so it would be nice if they don't get lost.

Correct, as well as in-site search itself.  The Magazine is in fact a
blog format, not a periodical.  Therefore indexing would be somewhat
counter-intuitive.
