Interestingly there is /etc/cups/printers.conf and /etc/cups/printers.conf.0
When a printer is modified the previous version of the config file is moved to
printers.conf.0 This may happen even if there is no actual change. I just made a
change....
[root@meimei cups]# ll printers.conf*
-rw-------. 1 root lp 1464 Nov 13 08:30 printers.conf
-rw-------. 1 root lp 1476 Nov 13 08:29 printers.conf.O
[root@meimei cups]# diff printers.conf.O printers.conf
2c2
