where to get Fedora 44 kickstart files

Hello, Where are the Fedora 44 kickstart files that can create an ISO? I need to make a new spin because I need a later kernel (plus derivatives) to even run the LiveCD (USB) on a new machine. In the past, there used to a RPM called spin-kickstarts or something but that seems to not be there in the Fedora 44 repositories. Many thanks and best wishes, Ranjan

OT: Passkey usage

Lots of sites are promoting the use of a generated passkey vs a password. Some mention of using a passkey generated for site A on site B. Seems to be tied to the device. How is this better than a password? Doesn't seem to be as useful as a password generator and keeper. The mechanism for using a passkey on multiple devices is not clear. Is there somewhere these pros and cons are discussed?

Update to Fedora 43 resulted in Firefox forgetting history and bookmarks

I just did a dnf upgrade on my Fedora 43 system, and it seems that Firefox has now forgotten all my browser history and my bookmarks. How can I get them back?

Error messages during boot

Strange error sequence appearing on screen before grub2 menu error:../../grub-core/script/function.c:119:can't find command "exec'. error:../../grub-core/script/lexer.c:352:out of memory. error:../../grub-core/script/lexer.c:352:syntax error. error:../../grub-core/script/lexer.c:352:Incorrect command. error:../../grub-core/script/lexer.c:352:syntax error. Used f43 workstation live to install Fedora on a refurbished Dell 3430 system with Windows 11. Split the nvmedrive for the necessary space. Install went as expected and no problems observed with the system. What is giving the observed screen listing before the grb menu? Tried reinstalling grub2 but no change. How to find ../../grub-core/script/

Can installer create degraded RAID-1 (mdraid) partitions

I know that Fedora's installer can create RAID-1 partitions. I'll be putting in two hard drives, and setting up RAID-1 on them. But one of the drives will take a little bit longer to arrive. Anyone happen to recall if the installer will let me set up just one drive, for a degraded RAID-1 array, and install Fedora? I don't remember the UI details, the last time I did this install a few years ago. I suppose I can jsut try, see what's possible, and only risk wasting a little bit of time; and if I'm in luck I don't have to wait for the 2nd drive, and I'll just drop it in, and add it to the array, and let it sync up. To clarify: I'm referring to mdraid. I know about BTRFS and its own RAID-1 capabilities, but after it crapped itself all over my laptop, forcing a rather inconvenient fresh reinstall, I went back in to ol' reliable ext4 (on top of mdraid, on the servers).

Doing a clean install doesn't work as it did before. Tried 8 times, but don't get results I am looking for??

Go a notebook with Windows 11, but windows says it doesn't meet new specs for latest 11. i7 4 cores 8 threads 2.9G 256G sda. Wiped the 11, and went to do clean install, but do not want btrfs. Went thru a number of attempts. Latest one was close but lots of steps. Attempt 8. Get to the mount point step. Use to be select standard partitions, and it would give a layout and just excepting it was it. Now it says to create / root /boot/efi/efi /boot Didn't mention /home but did that. / was about 80G boot/efi/efi was .2G /boot was 2G and /home rest of 256G. Install seemed to go OK, but found that sda1 was starting at 34 instead of 2048? used gparted to move over, but moved it to 4096, so then moved back to 2048? Tried to mount sda1 but gave error about superblock checksums not matching. Ran fsck and it didn't mention any errors, and then the mount and it was happy. so assume fsck fixed something. I've upgraded other machines to 44 with no issues with the partition setups. Have two machines that have btrfs since I was looking for option to change to standard. Am I missing some step. Did notice the Fedora XFCE image does no home gparted included, so don't know if using it to setup partitions would be easier. F44 LiveOS fades to black and goes catatonic

I spend rather a lot of my computer time staring at the screen and deciding what to do next. During one such session, I got a popup message, presumably warning me about what happened next. While deciding what to do about the message, the screen faded to black and nothing I did with the keyboard or mouse had any effect. F42/Xfce - KVM monitor not waking up

I just got a new KVM, as my old one was dying. If I am away from my system, and it turns off the monitor, the KVM monitor does not wake up on activating the notebook. I have a Win10 system also on this KVM. I have to switch to it (it also turned off its monitor), mouse around to get it to wake up the notebook monitor. The KVM monitor wakes up. Then I can switch back to F42 and the KVM monitor is now awake and working. So Win10 is giving some wake up command to the monitor that F42 is not. Any ideas what to look for and fix for this? It is a pain to switch to the Win system and back to the F42 system just to get my KVM monitor active... thanks
