false spam identification on some fedora mail

Hi, While checking on my systems I see that some mail from: List-Id: Fedora Package Announcements <package-announce.lists.fedoraproject.org> Was getting false-flagged as spam, this header indicates the prime reason: 5.0 URIBL_BLACK Contains an URL listed in the URIBL blacklist [URIs: datalad.org] -- uname -rsvp Linux 3.10.0-1160.119.1.el7.x86_64 #1 SMP Tue Jun 4 14:43:51 UTC 2024 x86_64 Boilerplate: All unexpected mail to my mailbox is automatically deleted. I will only get to see the messages that are posted to the mailing list.

uBlock in firefox throwing all kinds of microsoft style 'you have a virus' alerts

All; I am running Fedora 40, and I have deployed uBlock Origin tom get rid of the google sign-in on various websites, I have added this for my filters: accounts.google.com/gsi/* norton.* https://gipeswort.xyz/* However now I keep getting popups in my KDE taskbar/panel about Norton subscriptions, viruses found, etc.. It's almost like im running windows and getting all the windows virus sales popups again. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks in advance

filezilla and firewalls

Hi, Trying different PCs and different connections (and firewall configurations) I can cause Filezilla to not be able to connect to a FTP server outside my LAN on one of them when the PC is connected through USB tethering on my mobile phone. Yet, another one works with the same USB tethered phone. It's a server that requires FTP over TLS. Does that scheme require any special firewall tweaking on a client PC or any special networking issues? 41 release date?

Hi All, I have noticed that Wine HQ's Wine Staging 9.19 won't install on FC41 due to dependancy fails. Wine HQ tells me they won't support 41 until 41 is officially released. Advice on Rsyslog.service Boot Failure

Hi, At boot time I'm getting the gui boot interrupted by a message that rsyslog.service failed. After the message is displayed there are no other messages displayed before SDDM starts. After starting up KDE starts, if from a konsole window I issue the command "systemctl status rsyslog.service" it tells me the service is enabled and active. Can anyone tell me what I need to look at to determine why the boot failure message is being produced if the service is being successfully started? regards, Steve

Sometimes need to Ctrl-Alt-F1 and log in again to resume GNOME session

I'm using GNOME with a 10-minute Screen Blank and automatic Screen Lock disabled. Sometimes, it's not enough to move the mouse to wake up the display. But I can Ctrl-Alt-F1, giving the gdm login screen, and when I log in, I'm back to my original session (not a new session). It happens occasionally, but usually moving the mouse is enough to wake up the display. AFAIK I'm not doing anything differently when it happens, so I'm pretty sure it's a bug. Anyone know?

No sound in Google chrome

Hi, I am facing the annoying problem of not having any sound in Google Chrome or any other web browser. All other places the sound works fine(playing an audio or video file from disk). Please help and let me know if any diagnostic information is needed. -- Regards, Sreyan Chakravarty

OT: 7-zip question?? p7zip shows 16.02.06 version, but 7-zip now has a linux version 24.08.11??

Did some very limited testing. p7zip help still shows 03/6/2016 date, while 7-zip has 08/11/24? In a simple test of 7G directory p7zip compressed in 13 1/2 minutes while the 7-zip (7zz) did it in 11 1/2 minutes (same 2 core notebook) Files were different slighly, but did pass test of each others programs with default settings. So, speedwise the 7zz seems newer and faster. Only minor issue I found was that 7z didn't include linked files while 7zz did? Had to use -snl switch. Just wondering if someone might know more info?
