Fedora 31 email text size -
by Bob Goodwin
I am trying to configure a new Fedora 31 installation and Thunderbird
presents email messages with what to me appears to be a microscopic text
size, I need to press 'CTL +' several times. The default text is perhaps
3 mm high on a "24 inch" screen. Nothing in the usual menu settings
seem to have anyeffect.
Am I the only one seeing this?

Creating and managing accounts in GNOME
by Alex
Hi,
I'm an old-school Linux user who's always done things from the command
line. I have a fedora29 desktop with GNOME and need to change the
default login user. Where are the GNOME user management tools to do
this? Certainly nothing in Applications except "Settings" which
apparently isn't for managing users.
All the documentation I have found on this no longer seems applicable.
Is fedora29 now using wayland?
Thanks,
Alex

importing photos from camera
by Paolo Galtieri
Folks,
I am having an issue with importing photos from my Nikon D90 under F30.
Under F29 when I right click on the camera icon on the desktop and look
at the "Open With Other Application" there was an entry for "Open With
gThumb Photo Import Tool". This option is missing from F30. So I
decide to use a custom command, the command being gthumb
--import-photos. Now when I right click on the camera icon and look at
the possible commands there is one called gthumb, with no description of
what this command does, and there was no way to specify a description
when I entered the command. When I select it it now allows me to import
my photos. The box that says "Remember this application for
"application/x-caja-link type" files is also checked. However it does
not remember my selection. It continues to show "Open With gThumb Image
Viewer" as the application to use when I plug my camera into my laptop.
I'm using the MATE desktop.
So what do I need to do to get gthumb --import-photos to actually run
when I plug my camera in?
Any help is appreciated.

Email account identity -
by Bob Goodwin
I seem to have lost my log-in identity for "bobgoodwin(a)wildblue.net." It
appears that wildblue no longer exists, having been completely absorbed
by Viasat. I have received some email via that service for about
fourteen years and now I am unable to create a Thunderbird account in
Fedora-31, the set-up fails to accept the password I have in my notes; I
guess it could be wrong, not certain ...
However Thunderbird in this same computer when booted in Fedora-29
continues to run the Wildblue account and receives e-mail, most of it
spam ,but some that I would prefer to leave with that address.
The question is, is there a file in the .thunderbird configuration on
the Fedora-29 system that accepts the Wilblue email that I could move
into the latest Thunderbird in Fedora-31?
