copr-selinux dependencies Fedora 22
by Jon LaBadie
Trying to update on F22. DNF reports copr-selinux
version 1.40 is available to replace v1.35 but it
can not due to "broken dependencies".
rpm says "policycoreutils-python-utils" is required but not
installed. "policycoreutils-python" is installed and dnf
says it required package is not available.
rpmfind shows the "policycoreutils-python-utils" available
for F23, but not for F22.
Suggestions for how to resolve the situation?
I don't anticipate using copr, perhaps remove it?
Do any system functions depend upon copr installation?
Jon

DNF group install of "KDE Plasma Desktop" fails
by Weiner, Michael
I am trying to install the KDE Plasma Desktop on a fresh installation of Fedora 23 via the Live image and it keeps throwing up dependencies for xorg-x11-drv packages that do not exist. I have a couple F23 installs laying around here and they arent installed on any of them, nor are they up in the public repository (http://mirror.cs.princeton.edu/pub/mirrors/fedora/linux/releases/23/Every...). And what is even odder, is that everyting I try to run 'dnf groupinstll "KDE Plasma Desktop" it comes back with another xorg-x11-drv package it says it cant find, and neither can i. Here is what it is doing:
[root@lri-106830 temp]# dnf groupinstall "KDE Plasma Workspaces"
Last metadata expiration check: 2:47:12 ago on Wed May 25 08:17:24 2016.
No package xorg-x11-drv-freedreno available.

[root@lri-106830 temp]# dnf groupinstall "KDE Plasma Workspaces"

No package xorg-x11-drv-geode available.

[root@lri-106830 temp]# dnf groupinstall "KDE Plasma Workspaces"

[root@lri-106830 temp]# dnf groupinstall "KDE Plasma Workspaces"

No package xorg-x11-drv-armsoc available.

And the following are the only ones installed and also in the repository:
[root@lri-106830 temp]# rpm -qa | grep xorg-x11-drv

earphone problems
by George R Goffe
Hi,
I'm trying to use an old set of Logitech earphones on my Fedora 23 system. I use mplayer to play videos WITH audio tracks. This used to work with Fedora 22 and earlier but now the earphones don't work. I use /usr/bin/gnome-control-center to adjust settings and to a minimal test from various sources. All devices tested produce sound. I'm missing something here but can't seem to figure out just what that is.
Can I get someone to give me some hints/clues/tips/suggestions please?
Regards,
George...

Posting to the Fedora message boards
by Peter G.
While a long-time user, I never liked getting all of the messages in my email box, considering that only 5% or so are relevant to me. The digest form has the additional problem of how to reply to a post. Then, I discovered Gmane a few years back.I was bothered somewhat by using a third party interface and, it seemed, that not 100% of the posts ever showed up, depending on who posted where. It has worked well for me, but I had to set up the news program, typically knode, which also took a fair bit of time. Nothing ever seemed satisfactory.
This morning I discovered Fedora's own web interface. I never even knew it existed!!! I think it could be the best solution yet... although sometimes it seems slow.
What have you found to be he easiest, most convenient, etc. method of accessing the message boards?

Can't rename files on KDE desktop.
by Alan Evans
Or rather, I can rename them, but then I can't access them.
If I create a new file on my F23 KDE desktop, I have no trouble accessing
it. But if I rename it (right-click, Rename) then try clicking on it again
after, I get an error dialog: "Unable to run the command specified. The
file or folder /home/alan/Desktop///<oldname> does not exist." (<oldname>
is the name the file was before I renamed.)
This is a real bother in the case of folders, because I rename them often.
But then I can't access them. Everything seems to work from within the File
Manager, but fails when dealing with Desktop icons.

GPG signing problem
by Patrick O'Callaghan
I'm having a problem in Evolution (3.18.5.2) but suspect that it's
really something in my GPG setup. When I try to sign and encrypt a
message, I get:
Could not create message.
Because "gpg: skipped "XXXXXXXX": No secret key
gpg: signing failed: No secret key
", you may need to select different mail options.
I have used GPG in the past with the same key (also from Evolution)
without any problem. Both my own and the destination address are in my
keyring.
When I try to use Seahorse to sign a key, it tells me I have no secret
key to do this with, which looks like the same error.
So what does "no secret key" mean? All keys in the keyring were
generated by GPG as public/private pairs, so I don't understand what's
going on.
