If I run something like, "dnf -y install xxxx", and xxxx is already
installed, DNF gives a response like the following.
Last metadata expiration check performed 0:00:02 ago on ...
Package xxxx is already installed, skipping.
... (long delay, sometimes several minutes) ...
Nothing to do.
That is, it works but it takes an unreasonably long time to do so. How
can it be that, DNF knows the package is already installed and /still/
takes such a long time to decide that dependencies are ok? There aren't
any dependencies to resolve!
I built an email server with postfix+dovecot+postgresql.
When it comes to retrieve the user password, I have this error from dovecot:
Unknown scheme BLF-CRYPT
In fact, my passwords are encrypted this way in my DB. After some readings,
it seems not all Linux distro have glibc built with blowfish support.
$ doveadmin pw -l
does not return in fact BLF-CRYPT in its enabled scheme.
I installed the bcrypt package, but nothing changes.
Is there a solution, or am I missing something?
Thank you for help
When is a fedora release likely to have the 4.6 kernel
(I suspect fedora 25)?
I saw rumors the nvidia maxwell card firmware will finally
be included in 4.6 and it might finally be possible to
use nouveau with my graphics card, so I'm just wondering when
I might be able to stop fooling with nvidia binary drivers.
