Mouse scrolling problem in Fedora18
by Todor Petkov
Hello,
I have installed Fedora18 on Sapphire EDGE-HD Mini PC.It has only 2 USB
ports, so I used only keyboard and not mouse during the install. Now the
mouse scroll does not work. I found this article
https://ask.fedoraproject.org/question/8386/mouse-scroll-doesnt-work-in-f...
but the step did not help.
I am not sure if this is related to the lack of mouse during the
install or the hardware itself. I tried with different mouse (the
original is Dell, I tried with Logitech), but still no wheel working.
Does someone else have this or similar problem?

Slighty OT Git Hub/Heroku
by Roger
I have a git hub repository where I have put the Ruby on Rails
development system on Heroku for work by myself and 2 other volunteer devs.
How and/or where would I post the file tree so that we all can work on
the various files, I'm lost on this aspect.
I have explored Github and Heroku but could find no thing obvious.
Can someone point me in the right direction to get this dev working
Thank you in advance
Roger

"_REG", ACPI problem
by Wilbert Isaac Cortés González
Well, hi to everybody, a few days a go I was trying to install Fedora 18 in a Toshiba Satellite, but for my surprise I got this error message after I made boot from the DVD: "Fail in evaluating the _REG object of EC device. Broken bios is suspected"; I tried a few of "solutions", but I didn't succeed, with those, so my question is: is there any real solution?

Howto get a stack trace from coredumps now that we have abrt?
by Neal Becker
Now that abrt is intercepting core dumps, what do I do to get a stack trace for
a binary that is NOT a fedora package? Either my own code, or something like,
shall we say, just for the sake of argument, google chrome?
I know how to turn off sending core dumps to abrt, but I don't want to always
run that way, and I don't know how to trigger this core dump.

Check Updates option does no work for me in Software application
by Aaron Konstam
The Check Updates option in the Software application does not work for
me. It starts as expected reporting the number of updates. But it never
reaches the install step and just keeps running without end.
Does this work for other people? If so what is your trick to get it to
work?

bootable USB key
by Patrick Dupre
Hello,
I was thinking in making a bootable USB key for the installation.
I read: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_create_and_use_Live_USB
There is instruction about creating partitions and install the .iso on one
of them and make it bootable. The example is with a single partition:
su -c "livecd-iso-to-disk --reset-mbr
Fedora-17-x86_64-Live-Desktop.iso /dev/sdX"
I am surprise taht we could not make the same on a specific partition by
making it bootable, like we do on a usual hardrive.
UNetbootin or liveusb-creator do not seem to have this option.
Am I wrong?
Thank.
