Re: nx
by Patrick Dupre
Hello Mike,
Thank for the clarifications. However, in my opinion there is still
something missing.
nb-libs is suppsed to provide nx, however, this is the list of
provided files:
/etc/ld.so.conf.d/nx-libs-i386.conf
/usr/lib/nx
/usr/share/doc/nx-libs-3.5.0.21
/usr/share/doc/nx-libs-3.5.0.21/COPYING
/usr/share/doc/nx-libs-3.5.0.21/LICENSE
/usr/share/doc/nx-libs-3.5.0.21/README
/usr/share/nx/SecurityPolicy
I cannot see in this list a nx, nxssh or a nxclient executable file, ie. /usr/bin/nx!
Maybe nxagent would do it, but I am not sure.
Regards.

Can't stand Gnome3, I think it's time for Fedora to move on
by Hugh Caley
I'm voting for Cinnamon, since the developer of compiz isn't interested
in keeping it going. But maybe if MATE was the default for Fedora he'd
change his mind? Or someone else would take over?

Re: nx

Thank for your feedback.
I do not know what else do you need, anyway I attach a full file
In addition, yum wants to update:
nx-libs-3.5.0.21-3.fc19
nxagent-3.5.0.21-3.fc19
nxproxy-3.5.0.21-3.fc19
and it failed to process request:
qtnx-0.9-16.fc19.i686 requires /usr/bin/nxssh : Success - empty transaction
It was Bug 1036426
Thank again.

nx
by Patrick Dupre
Hello,
I do not understand why I get a dependencies issue with nx:
Skipped (dependency problems):
libNX_X11.i686 0:3.5.0.21-3.fc19 libNX_Xcomposite.i686 0:3.5.0.21-3.fc19
libNX_Xdamage.i686 0:3.5.0.21-3.fc19 libNX_Xdmcp.i686 0:3.5.0.21-3.fc19
libNX_Xext.i686 0:3.5.0.21-3.fc19 libNX_Xfixes.i686 0:3.5.0.21-3.fc19
libNX_Xinerama.i686 0:3.5.0.21-3.fc19 libNX_Xpm.i686 0:3.5.0.21-3.fc19
libNX_Xrandr.i686 0:3.5.0.21-3.fc19 libNX_Xrender.i686 0:3.5.0.21-3.fc19

libXcompext.i686 0:3.5.0.21-3.fc19 libXcompshad.i686 0:3.5.0.21-3.fc19
nx-libs.i686 0:3.5.0.21-3.fc19 nxagent.i686 0:3.5.0.21-3.fc19
nxproxy.i686 0:3.5.0.21-3.fc19
This is what is installed:
nx-3.5.0-17.fc19.i686
qtnx-0.9-16.fc19.i686
freenx-server-0.7.3-31.fc19.i686
freenx-client-0.9-16.fc19.i686
nxclient-3.5.0-7.i386
nxcl-0.9-16.fc19.i686
What is wrong?
On a fedora 18, I have:
freenx-server-0.7.3-30.fc18.x86_64
nxclient-3.5.0-7.x86_64
nx-3.5.0-12.fc18.x86_64

freenx-client-0.9-15.fc18.x86_64
nxnode-3.5.0-9.x86_64
nxserver-3.5.0-11.x86_64
qtnx-0.9-15.fc18.x86_64
And every thing is OK!
I submitted the issue at bugzilla, but it not been considered as a bug!!!!
Thank for your help

Writing to an USB stick on Fedora 19
by Florian Weimer
What's the correct way to write an image to a USB stick? I don't write
to it while any file systems are mounted. Mounting happens
automatically when I plug in the stick, and if I click "Eject" in the
GNOME notification, the /dev/sdb block device assigned to the stick is
still present, but dead—the open system call fails with ENOMEDIUM.
I've got a fairly default Fedora 19 installation, running GNOME in
Classic Mode, still running the 3.11.6-201.fc19.x86_64 kernel.
(Right now, I overwrite the start of the stick with zeros while the
system is mounted, sync, unplug, and the plug it in again, for the
actual write operation, but that can't be the right thing to do.)

Re: nx
by Patrick Dupre
Did I make some progesses?
I removed nx, freenx-client and qtnx, to be able to install nxagent, nx-libs, nxproxy
but then I lost nx.
I cannot reinstall nx:
Package nx-3.5.0-17.fc19.i686 is obsoleted by nx-libs-3.5.0.21-3.fc19.i686 which is already installed
Nothing to do
But nx-libs does not provide a nx executable
I cannot install freenx-client either:
Packages skipped because of dependency problems:
freenx-client-0.9-16.fc19.i686 from fedora
qtnx-0.9-16.fc19.i686 from fedora
In my opinion, it is a real bug!!

Actually, this is quite simple. An E-mail message that includes the
proper headers preserves the thread or conversation. One that does
not doesn't.

Hello every body,
I am sorry for the disturbance with my replies.
It is now 15 years that I use to use mailing list and it is the first
time that people complains about my replies.
What should I do ?
Remove my signature to all my emails while it is automatically added ?
I also checked my setup.
I have 3 options when repying:
Add original text message
Indent original text message
Always use default from adress.
Only the 2 first ones are checked. Should I check the 3rd one also?
Regards.
