kaffeine no image but record
by François Patte

Bonjour,
I installed kaffeine. Scan of TV network was OK.
I can select a TV network but cannot see any image or ear any sound.
If I record the selected program, it is recorded and I can see it using
vlc (for instance).
What is missing in kaffeine?
(f10 version)
Thanks.

find tux comic picture help
by Erik Xavior
does anyone knows/have that comic picture of "tux" the Linux penguin that:
- has four pictures in it
- it defines 4 "levels" of the knowledge of tux, who is "symbolizing a
learning person"
- the first one: tux is just a Linux "fanboy"; second: tux is working, and
say's: "...stupid rpm"; three: I can't remember that:D sorry; four: tux has
a beard, and the picture says don't mess with it.
thank you, and sorry for the question, but I just can't find it on google :D

laptop overheating using F9
by ADITYA KRISHNAN
Hi All,
I have a HP Pavillion dv2000 laptop running Fedora 9. I notice that running
it for more than an hour causes my laptop to overheat. The temperature
screenlet displays the CPU temperature to be 80C, which I believe is pretty
high and I do not run any heavy applications.
I read on some previous thread that appending "acpi=on" on the kernel line
of grub.conf solves this problem. But it has made no difference.
Let me know is there any particular software i can download for preventing
this overheating.
Thanks.

Colors different under mplayer and Gnome Mplayer
by Jonathan Ryshpan
I've been using mplayer to view videos till today, when I decided to try
out totem and gnome-mplayer. Both totem and gnome-mplayer play videos
smoothly and with good sound, but the colors are different from the ones
I get with mplayer. Totem and gnome-mplayer both display the same, but
I think the colors in mplayer are correct. Skin tones in totem look
bluish. Totem and gnome-mplayer seem to be displaying red where mplayer
displays blue and vice versa.
Are there any sample videos that I can use to find out what's going on?
The videos I've been looking at are in AVI and Windows Media formats.
The system is x86_64 running F10 with an Nvidia GeForce 9500 GT with the
proprietary Nvidia driver. The colors displayed by all other
applications look quite reasonable.
Any help would be very welcome.

MDRaid 1 Recovery
by Law Barstow
Hello List,
I'm having some issues with my mdraid. The system is Fedora 10, x86_64.
I installed the system with two Seagate drives in a RAID 1
configuration. I let the configuration utility automatically setup the
RAID configuration. I believe each drive is configured a single
partition with this partition being part of the RAID device.
About a week ago, device 0 reported errors and was dropped from the
array by mdraid. The RAID continued in a degraded state with no
problems. I finally had time to work on it so I shut down the PC and
tried to run some disk drive utilities on it. The BIOS isn't even
seeing the drive, so I'll RMA it to Seagate. Drive 0 is unplugged and
not in the system, leaving Drive 1. When I try to boot, I get just a
message of "GRUB". I'm assuming that my problem is that GRUB was
installed to drive 0 and drive 0 was set to be my primary.
I've tried booting to the FC10 Install media in recovery mode, but when
it attempts to mount the device, I receive a message that the device
must be initialized, which will cause a loss of all data.
How do I resolve the problem booting to drive 1? Second, once I install
my replacement device, how do I rebuild the array? I assume I'll need
to some how get my current Drive 1 set to primary and then install the
second drive, and use mdadm to add it.
Thank you for your help
