BackupPC
by Timothy Murphy
Is there a reasonably-recent Fedora-oriented tutorial or howto
on BackupPC anywhere on the net?
(I have been reading the widely-cited Debian tutorial
at <http://www.howtoforge.com/linux_backuppc>.)
I've been backing up with a rather simple-minded rsync script,
but thought I'd go over to something more sophisticated.
I wonder what alternative backup programs people would recommend
for Fedora-8, and if possible for CentOS-5.1 too.
(Sadly, BackupPC does not seem to be available for CentOS.)
Any suggestions or advice gratefully received.

Brother Wireless Printer
by Jonathan Roberts
(Re-sent, as a new thread, and my apologies for hijacking - it's not
something I've come across before, but I'll be sure not to do it in the
future)
------------------
Hi all,
Does anybody know how I can set up my Brother wireless printer to work
with Fedora 8?
I've given it a static IP address on the network, and the model of the
printer is a DCP-3400W.
Thanks in advance,
Jon

Download a bunch of files without repeating
by Paul Smith
Dear All,
I have downloaded some files from a web-site with wget. How can I
download the remaining files without having to download again the
files already downloaded. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,

Bluetooth keyboard issue
by Chris Rosewarne
Hi All,
I have recently purchased a bluetooth keyboard but am unable to
connect to it in Fedora. Reading some emails here it seems I am not
the only one :(
When I try to connect by clicking on \'Bluetooth Icon -> Browse
Device...\' then selecting \'Device: BTKB-0030 Type: Keyboard\' this
dialog error appears after about 20-30 seconds:
Couldn\'t display \"obex://[00:18:00:00:11:19]/\".
Error: Host down
Please select another viewer and try again.
After some googling I tried a command line tool, but with no success:
# hidd --connect 00:18:00:00:11:19
Can\'t get device information: Host is down
(It seems \'hidd\' is obselete now, replaced by hcid?)
Is there some step I have missed? (I didn\'t find any filed bugs that
matched this description).
regards,
Chris

by Robert P. J. Day
somewhat OT, i realize, but is there a good online paper discussing
linux WRT to POSIX, and the state of things these days? a local
colleague wants to know related to possible adoption of linux within
his organization. thanks.
