I don't think users should have to do this in general it should be done by the
system automatically, eg zu:xh, en_AU:en_GB, should be hardcoded somewhere.
So maybe s-c-l could set LANGUAGE fallbacks for certain languages, but really
this should be done by gettext/glibc/gdm at runtime since otherwise it only
works for the system locale anyway.

When Stephen Turnbull, who is involved in XFT development, thinks that it is
ready for prime time, I'll be more open to adding this option to the Fedora
build. Until then, I'm going to leave XFT off in production. I will leave
this bug open for now, though, to remind myself to check into the current
situation periodically.

comments should be made in the comments box of this bug.
Summary: no gpm mouse support in mc
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=507463
Summary: no gpm mouse support in mc
Product: Fedora
Version: 11
Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Status Whiteboard: bzcl34nup
Severity: medium
Priority: low
Component: mc
AssignedTo: jnovy(a)redhat.com
ReportedBy: stsp(a)aknet.ru
QAContact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
CC: leonard-rh-bugzilla(a)den.ottolander.nl,
jnovy(a)redhat.com, stsp(a)aknet.ru,
fedora-triage-list(a)redhat.com, dvlasenk(a)redhat.com
Estimated Hours: 0.0
Classification: Fedora
Clone Of: 194593
+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #194593 +++
Reentering due to a bugzilla failure. Originally reported by: stsp(a)aknet.ru
Description of problem:
Mouse doesn't work in mc. "ldd /usr/bin/mc" doesn't list libgpm,
so the mouse obviously is not expeced to work. This is quite bad,
unless I am missing something obvious.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
mc-4.6.1a-13.FC5
How reproducible:
Press the left mouse button and move the mouse. Only the gpm text
selection happens. You can't go to menu or move the mc cursor with
the mouse.

The gpm support is enabled since F7 and on.

It doesn't work for me even with
mc-4.6.1a-50.20070604cvs.fc8
gpm and gpm-devel packages are installed.
But in a text console the gpm mouse only
does selection.
I already opened Bug 440580 for that.
Could you please tell me how to get the
thing working?
