In Fedora 12, the rule for mDNS is not sufficient. It must be relaxed to this:
-A INPUT -m state --state NEW -m udp -p udp --sport 5353 -j ACCEPT
I can upload a wireshark capture of this if you're interested.

[Bug 204448] RPM verify not functional: "file's dependencies has changed since prelinking"

OK - I think I figured out part of the problem. It seems that 'prelink' hadn't
run since the system was built so this messed up the verifies. After running
prelink, most (but NOT all) of the pre-link errors and "S.?......" lines have
resolved.
However, even running 'rpm -Va' right after a "full" prelink, I still get a
bunch of residual prelink errors:

I also still don't understand what the difference is between a "?" and a "5" in
the md5sum field.

[Bug 194249] CDs/DVDs encrypted with LUKS are not correctly mounted

--- Comment #24 from Martin F <martinrssf(a)gmail.com> 2009-11-22 00:10:25 EDT ---
As of the latest update of Fedora 11 (11/17/2009), I find that the mounting
problem is solved. I can enter the passphrase and access everything from
nautilus.
Now I have a different problem. When I eject the drive from GUI right-click, I
get the following error, although the disk icon disappears:
Unable to unmount DISK
DBus error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply.
Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the
message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or
the network connection was broken.
If I manually eject the dvd, it comes out, but after closing the tray, I cannot
open the tray anymore, either from command line or pushing a button. I can see
that kcryptd is still running and /dev/mapper/devkit-* still exists, possibly
locking the dvd device, which is why I couldn't open the tray.
The only solution is to 'cryptsetup luksClose devkit-*' from command line.
But this causes another problem. If I subsequently insert the same dvd and
enter the passphrase, the following error occurs:
The folder contents could not be displayed.
'userdisk' could not be found. Perhaps it has recently been deleted.
I'm not sure I should open a new ticket (since the original problem has been
solved) or let someone (original poster) move this to Fedora 11.

I am having the same problem on my new Fedora install.
Many rpms seem to give this error on at least one file.
Also, presumably as a result, the corresponding file has the following result
code:
S.?......
(indicating a problem with both the size and md5um)
Though could anybody explain why I get a question mark(?) rather than the usual
five (5)?
In any case it is a pretty severe problem since it makes it impossible to check
install integrity.

I can confirm same bug with ubuntu...I have networked computer with my sister
and she was running ubuntu 8.10 ...vino worked fine...But when I upgraded her
to 9.04 (yes 9.10 is out) her vino started doing what has been described.
