--- Comment #24 from Milos Jakubicek xjakub@fi.muni.cz 2009-02-16 13:32:20 EDT --- A simple workaround I've found for this is disabling KMS by adding "nomodeset" to the grub command line -- it has some negative sideeffects (no plymouth), but it works, X holds below 30 %, no sound flickering when starting firefox/scrolling pages/chaing tabs, the system is overall faster...
