Hi all,
what do you think about creating a matrix room for fedora-l10n on chat.fedoraproject.org?
The room can be bridged with the #fedora-l10n IRC channel on Libera.Chat.[1] For reference and example, you might see the #fedora- doc channel. There are, for example, android and iOS clients available too.[2]
The question for discussion is whether this move would be helpful to working of this team.
Your voices 'for' or 'against' are welcome.
With regards,
Josef

yep, this idea is fine, please to ahead and make sure the admin is written somewhere on the Wiki. Ideally, make sure to have more than one (I'm not candidate to be admin of this, I'm not so available). -- Jean-Baptiste

Hi all,
what do you think about creating a matrix room for fedora- l10n on chat.fedoraproject.org?
So I am pleased to announce the Fedora Localization[1] matrix room has recently been created in chat.fedoraproject.org. The room is bridged with #fedora- l10n IRC channel in LiberaChat.
I've asked the infra team to change the name from #i10n to #l10n.[2]
Please note there is also Fedora Localization Team[3] room under the fedora.im namespace, it should be deleted and serve only as alias. Do not join it.

I found it when I search for "localization" in the Fedora home server's rooms. (I was looking for "l10n" initially, and that didn't find it).
Is there a way to enable "preview" in the room so that folks can see the activity there without joining it?
Found it now, thank you :)

Now both ways (typing "#l10n:" or "local[ization]") should work in fedora.im.

Depends if we want to allow that "Anyone can read history" (only assuming that preview is coupled with this setting, though). Unfortunately, a moderator cannot change this setting, only an admin.
Basically, I have nothing against to allow this setting. It seems that this room will be one with rather low traffic. And we should act openly, of course.
Your opinion?
