I wrote before about strange lines, but later on I read them carefully...
What is the purpose of tags in newly introduced lines? Are they
cross-referenced among themselves or to some other line? Because, almost
all of them have no logic if you read only line at a time. Examples:
#: comps-fc6.xml.in.h:1 comps-fc7.xml.in.h:1
#: comps-rhel5-client-core.xml.in.h:1
msgid ""
"</_description> <default>false</default>
<uservisible>false</uservisible>
"
"<langonly>af</langonly> <packagelist> <packagereq
type=\"conditional\" "
"requires=\"aspell\">aspell-af</packagereq> <packagereq
type=\"conditional\" "
"requires=\"openoffice.org-core\">openoffice.org-langpack-af_ZA</packagereq>
"
"</packagelist> </group> <group>
<id>arabic-support</id> <_name>Arabic "
"Support</_name> <_description>"
Here we have important (?) tags and values:
<langonly>af
<packagelist>
<packagereq type=\"conditional\"
requires=\"aspell\">aspell-af</packagereq> <packagereq
type=\"conditional\"
requires=\"openoffice.org-core\">openoffice.org-langpack-af_ZA</packagereq>
<id>arabic-support</id>
<_name>Arabic Support</_name> <_description>
1. What is the purpose of "langonly" if "af" is a code for Afrikaans?
2. "requires" for "Aspell" confirms country code, and so does
"openoffice.org-core"
3. If "langonly" calls Afrikaans, why does "id" and "name"
call Arabic?
Even more interesting is next line (copied only interesting parts):
<langonly>as
<packagelist>
<packagereq type=\"mandatory\">fonts-bengali</packagereq>
<packagereq type=\"mandatory\">m17n-db-assamese</packagereq>
<packagereq type=\"conditional\"
requires=\"openoffice.org-core\">openoffice.org-langpack-as_IN</packagereq>
[…]
<id>authoring-and-publishing</id>
<_name>Authoring and Publishing</_name>
<_description>These tools allow you to create documents in the DocBook
format and convert them into HTML, PDF, Postscript, and text."
So here we have something that is only for ASm requires bengali font and
asmaric db, langpack for asameese… etc and is named:
"Authoring and Publishing"?!?
Next one:
<langonly>ca
requires=\"aspell\">aspell-ca
requires=\"kdelibs\">kde-i18n-Catalan
requires=\"openoffice.org-core\">openoffice.org-langpack-ca_ES
<id>chinese-support</id>
<_name>Chinese Support</_name> <_description>
Erm, support for Chinese people that live in Catalonia?
This file looks funny even when I open it in xml editor...
