Can you please elaborate the translation platform requirement to bypass
the connection issues you're having? Does it means our translation
platform should correctly handle offline contribution with file upload?
The connection issue is due to my geographical place. It's not a common
problem. But keep a offline contribution feature should be a good idea.
On the long run, the platform should be simple, function specific, less
dependent on those internet giants' codes or services(Perhaps I am wrong
about this, because I don't know what codes, services would such
platform use).
About the "zanata, also it is not good enough for coordinator to
manage
the members", I feel like our goal should be to not need coordinator in
most situation. The translation platform should allow teams to self
organize and only once in a while requirement a specific rights to do
something. Can you please elaborate the issues you're facing related to
coordination?
You are right, the coordinator don't really need to do much work on
member management. But they should handle the new member's join request.
Zanata will send email notification to me about the new join request,
but the request will not be shown on my dashboard page. If I want to
approve a request, then at first, I have to click the language link,
which is on the left panel, then search and find my language(zh-CN),
then click the language, and click the request tab in the page to find
the member's name, and click accept or deny.
It shouldn't be like this.
One of the platform maintainers or developers should be a translator
himself/herself, or he/she has done some L10n work. Only a real
translator knows what kind of the interface, what features are needed,
and where and how these things are placed, arranged among the web pages.
