Hello,
Just a note: Brazilian can say a lot about the differences, but it's like
British and US English. It's the same language, different localisations. If
you're in Portugal Brazilian Portuguese will work as well. But of course,
it's always better if system and programs are localised to your country and
not only to your general language.
I guess this is true. Please fix me if I'm wrong but
I think there is one major technical difference.
If British English translation is missing then an i18n
subsystem will fall back to the default US English and
it works mostly OK. But when pt_PT translation is missing
the i18n subsystem will not fall back to pt_BR but again
to en_US. It would fall back from pt_BR to pt_PT
but not the other way round.
