Hi,
Jens, thats not a decision alone by the translation team but I am happy
that somebody shares my feeling about zanatas future. I am sure that our
infrastructure team would like weblate more then zanata as they would get a
Python application and whats even greater it is modular, so getting finally
our translation working with our badges system and getting better
statistics seems to become easier. The authentification via openID and
Fedora is already there, so I am sure they love it
But we should get them into the loop.
What concerns the usabiltity its better as Zanata but it has the same
problems, even the statistics are better. There is the same problem, you
can see not the amount of changes by a single user (what would be on the
end necessary for badges) but I think that can be corrected via plugin.
That could be achieved I think. (I can work on that)
I would be happy to see this kind of plugins soon, as it would solve
some
of the problems I have here.

Hi,
With the gradual demise of Zanata whose service reliability is getting
worse I hear, I am wondering what do people think about moving Fedora
Translations to the Weblate platform?
https://weblate.org
I believe a few people here have tried it and liked it.
Of course it is a big job to switch but in the long term it looks more
viable.
Does it lack any important features compared to Zanata?
