Mandatory Release notes for Changes
by Jan Kurik
For a long time we have an issue with readiness of Release notes for a
release. To solve this issue me and @bex met and we came up with a
proposal for a Changes Policy [2] addendum. As I would like to have
people from different teams (Devel, QA, Doc, Trans, ...) to review
this proposal and I do not want to have the discussion scatter over
sever mailing lists I opened a FESCo ticket [1] describing the Release
notes process we agreed on. If anyone is interested in this topic,
please contribute to the ticket.

Where is "Modular" part of the brand?
by Jean-Baptiste Holcroft
Hi,
on getfedora.org you can read: "Are you looking for Fedora 27 Modular
Server Beta? Download it here!"
The general rule is not to translate Fedora brand names.
If feel like the product is Fedora Server, and "modularity" is a
characteristic, but not part of the brand itself. As such, it can be
translated. Am I correct?
Kind remember to translators who may not know this rule: we are asked
not to translate Fedora Workstation, Fedora Server, Fedora Cloud, Fedora
Atomic, etc.

Self-Introduction - Ariela, spanish
by Ariela Wenner
Name: Ariela Wenner
Location: Los Polvorines, Argentina
Login: arisunz
Language: Spanish
Status: Self-taught programming student and volunteer
in a social project aimed to provide a safe space
for children in precarious areas.
About You: I never went to an institute to learn, but I've been
in contact with English since I was six years old thanks
to the Internet, videogames and most of the guides for
such videogames being written in English, so for me it feels
as natural as my native language. I'm hoping to contribute
to translation efforts as much as I can!
You and the Fedora Project: I'm part of the x86 SIG and
I'm interested in bringing Linux and open-source values
to the place I'm volunteering for and to the people around
me.

Self-Introduction
by Giovanni Grieco
Name: Giovanni Grieco
Location: Bari, Italy
Login: corsaro
Language: Italian
Profession or student status: Student
About me: I am an undergraduate student in Computer and Control
Enginnering at the Polytechnic of Bari in Bari, Italy. I am interested
in operating systems and kernel development. I would like to translate
from English to Italian and help native Italian speakers approach this
wonderful operating system.
Me and the Fedora Project: I firstly installed Fedora 3-4 years ago and
finally I have decided to contribute actively in September as I choose
Fedora as my primary operating system. In my free time I help people
into join this community. I have ecountered many difficulties in
showing them a fully Italian UI, so I would like to help translate.

Websites group in Zanata - release is close
by Jean-Baptiste Holcroft
Dear language teams,
because Fedora release is next week, you'll probably go check how well
our websites are translated :)
This is a good practice! Go translate! (in fact, go often, because in
the last days, there always is a lot of tiny fixes).
But you'll also find a "Fedora Budget Site", which is a first test from
Brian for asciidoc website.
After discussing this with him, you should most probably not translate
this at the moment, as is it a work in progress thing that won't be
published anytime soon (and isn't up to date).
@docs and @websites, Brian asked me to add you in CC for info. This
makes this message a multi mailing one, please only respond to
trans(a)lists.fedoraproject.org.
I don't remember when this project was added to the official list, I
suggest to temporary remove it.
We also had Fedora Cubes, when was it removed? Any reason for this?

About You: I'm student in ChongQing JiaoTong university, I currently

providing some translation on Fedora to make it better in China.
