Self Introduction: Rafal Luzynski - Polish
by Rafal Luzynski
Hello,
I've contacted some of the people around here off-list before
but I should also follow the procedure: subscribe to this
mailing list and introduce myself in public and for everyone.
So, here it goes:
Name: Rafal Luzynski (full Unicode version: Rafał Lużyński)
Location: Poland
Login: rluzynski
Language: Polish
Profession: software engineer (developer, coder)
About You: My primary role is implementing the software applications,
that means coding in languages like C or Java. I've been
doing this for 20 or 30 years already, I don't remember exactly.
I switched to using Linux exclusively in 2000 although I had been
using it often before. After trying different spins of Debian
and Red Hat Linux (pre-Fedora) I switched to Fedora Core about 2004.
You and the Fedora Project: Actually I consider myself as
a newcomer here. Although I've been writing non-Fedora software
and using Fedora for a long time my real contribution to the project
started only recently. I have already joined the Polish
translation team but thanks to Piotr Drąg's amazing work there
is probably nothing left to do. But I hope to be able to
contribute to this group sharing my developer's knowledge
with all translators and identifying software bugs causing
translations difficult or impossible.

Want to be Fedora contributor? Start with Fedora 25 translation
sprint!
by Jona Azizaj
We often meet many Fedora users that say, “How can I contribute something to Fedora?” or “How do I become part of Fedora?” This is the right time to reach all those users and inform them they can be contributors!
Why now? For translations, users already know their local language. Its just a matter of using translation tools like Zanata to get those translations in. This is also one good way to learn about processes in the Fedora community. It’s a fantastic chance to learn about packages, reviews, IRC, Bugzilla, mailing lists, etc.
We’re having a Fedora Activity Day, or FAD, to finish translations prior to the next Beta release. We will be gathering online from 3th September to 9th September. We have a list of priority projects to translate and many languages to cover. In later stages, one can also help rewarding contributors and effectively closing the events with statistics and reports.
Learn how you can give back to Fedora by helping translate Fedora to other languages [1].
Cheers,
Jona

My other activities are singing in choir and undergo German language course, because I want to pursue master's degree in Germany.

Also, at the moment I don't think there's activities within trans-id (my language's L10N list). I'd like to know whether I can do something for my language's translation activity.
Thank you.

new coordinators of French team and Brazilian Portuguese team
by Noriko Mizumoto
Hi Sylvia, Jona, Pravin anyone
FLP used to feed update to fedora monthly(?) news (led by Paul), such as
the number of new translators joined, etc. But she who used to write
retired thus we stopped.
Now we are having new teams coordinators recently, and I think this is
great news to share with the others. Is any good place? Is anyone can
write in appropriate place?
French Team new coordinator - Jean-Baptiste Holcroft
Brazilian Portuguese new coordinators - Bruno R. Zanuzzo & Daniel Lara
Anyone?
Thanks

Passage de témoin - Coordination handover to Jean-Baptiste Holcroft
by Jérôme Fenal
Hi all,
As some of you may have seen, my daily activities for Red Hat are time
consuming.
Jean-Baptiste Holcroft proposed to takeover the responsibility of the
French Translation team leadership/pillarship (his words), we met twice
eye-to-eye since his proposal and I believe the team will be in good hands,
both for French translations et overall translations.
I'll stay as a contributor as time allows (ssd, IPA) and local Red Hat
insider should the community need a point of contact.
@Noriko, can you please do what is necessary, Jean-Baptiste has already
administrator rights on the mailing-list trans-fr(a)f.o
Regards,
J.

subscription right removed bug of trans-ja
by Ooyama Yosiyuki
Hello, I am Yosiyuki Ooyama (sujiniku), I am now in trouble about using subscription of mailing list.
About one year ago, once I sent a request for a subscription to trans-ja mailing list ( trans-ja-join(a)lists.fedoraproject.org ), it was finally authentication.
However, it is, unawares, it seems had been canceled.
Therefore Now I cannot send mail to trans-ja mailing list .
After I did settings(for example "my setting" and "Subscription settings" etc ), no longer , I cannot do send mail and I cannot do subscription.
Therefore I have sent a e-mail to contact several times to trans-ja-join(a)lists.fedoraproject.org , but I does not get reply.
