--- Comment #1 from Noriko Mizumoto <noriko(a)redhat.com> ---
Hi Tomas
I had contact with Jan via Transifex and invited him to move to Zanata early
last year. It was accepted and I had been told that the package would be moved
to. However since then, I have not heard from him.
Can I ask you to chase the status down?
If any help needed, I and Zanata team are here and most happy to come up.

Self Introduction - French
by José Fournier
Name: José Fournier
Location: Amendeuix-Oneix , half way between Biarritz an Pau, FRANCE
Login: jaaf64
Language: French
About me: I would like to join the Fedora Project in order to translate
wiki pages, documentation pages and localize applications. I have a
previous experience of translation in Gentoo . I translated a lot of
pages in their previous documentation system and in their new wiki. I
also wrote some pages of my own but not that much. What I admired most
in Gentoo was the rigor of their distribution and documentation.
Nevertheless, for a daily use, it turns a bit complicated for one who is
not a computer scientist – and I am not. Thus, I am now interested in
participating in something more intended for the General Public – and
this is not a derogatory word for me. What caught my attention when I
visited the Fedora pages is mainly the same as what I appreciated most
in Gentoo, rigor and clarity.
I look forward to participating in Fedora.
With Best Regards
José
BTW: I created a FAS account and validated all the steps before arriving
to this self introduction mail except one: I could not manage to connect
to the wiki in order to create a personal page. My credentials are not
accepted there.

Guidelines and objectives about Fedora tools and translation
by Jean-Baptiste
Hi there,
A few month ago, we created a (wish)list of subjects, related to i18n
and l10n :
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/G11N/Fedora_24_G11N_Enhancements
As a new contributor, I was a bit confused about the many websites and
tools of Fedora, because some are homemade others where use as SaaS
solutions and didn't really know how to navigate from one to another,
nor understood if translation was missing because the software didn't
support it or because of the lack contributors.
I made a list of every websites I found :
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/G11N/List_of_Fedora_sites
The status is not very good :
* some websites are not translated (ex : developer.fedora)
* many sites don't have the Fedmenu button to help navigation
* most of tools are not translated
It was pretty much expected, but now, how do we fix this ?
The work is huge, so we need to make a little bit of planning.
What are the guidlines we would like to have for websites and tools ?
We also have to agree with websites teams and infra team and be
realistic : none of our groups can handle and objective like 100% of
websites and tools have to be internationalized and translated.
Anyone would like to help me writing and then discussing with #Website
and #Infra groups ?
Subjects are :
* global guidelines
* short term objectives (2016)
* mid-term objectives (2017)
Sincerely,
--

Please check the [FedoCal] link for your time zone.
We will meet to make sure we are coordinated and ready for the Alpha

this meeting is going to be held even if the release is delayed at the
Go/No-Go meeting on the same day two hours earlier.
You may received this message several times, but I was asked to open
this meeting to the teams and I'll also hope this will raise awareness

Where to report Zanata problems
by Göran Uddeborg
Sorry if I'm getting confused, but where is the correct way to report
about issues with uploading translations. Red Hat bugzilla
Localization, or zanata.atlassian.net? (Neither felt like a perfect
fit, so I thought I'd better ask.)
The issue I'm having is that it refuses my translations of anaconda
messages like
Press <Enter> to reboot your system.
since it believes "<Enter>" is a markup tag that must not be
translated.

Fixing a bug in dnf | Attention cs, fi, gu, it, ms, nb, pt, sr teams
by Florian Heiser
Hi,
I came a cross a little bug in the translation of dnf. The issue is that several translations did not adjust text when defaultyes is true.
Matt Sturgeon tried to fix it per pull request on github [1] but it appears that the translations are not pulled from there, and have to be corrected in Zanata.
That makes it a bit harder since probably nobody is team member of all affected languages. So, one member of each group should find the corresponding line ("Is this ok [y/N]:") and correct it. [2]
I've done it for the German translation. [3]
What would be an easier option to fix this all at once like Matt tried to do with with pull request on github?
Enjoy the weekend!

Wiki - Improve local pages - L10N Teams
by Jean-Baptiste
Hi there,
A few weeks ago, pravins submited an idea about improving wiki. So I
rebuilded the L10N French team (I took the german page has an example of
simplicity).
In order to make the wiki more up to date for the upcomming vFAD and
alpha translation test day, can you please have a look at your team
description page and check if it is up to date with Zanata links, actors
and short-description ?
It would be great to make a ping back here !
The full list of L10N teams is here :
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/L10N_Teams
Note : should we push this mail to all trans list ?
Thanks for your help !
