Re: Release Notes needs testing
by John J. McDonough
Problem is, we need to get +3 karma before tomorrow (afternoon, evening,
PDT, UTC I don't know which) and that takes a little time.
I will be pushing another update later this afternoon EDT (probably
around 2000Z). I will be more than happy to continue to push additional
updates in the hope that it makes final compose, and in any case, we do
have a zero day update coming as well.
I notice that French has also been getting lots of updates, and there
are some Dutch updates that aren't in 14.0.1. If we could get Polish
and maybe French onto the CD that would be awesome. I will do whatever
I can to get your updates in.
I think there may be a paragraph that isn't in the POTs. I'll go ahead
and do a POT update just to be sure you have everything. Meanwhile, if
people can test everything in sight and give it karma, we can shorten
the time to get to the compose. If this were Thursday morning UTC we
could get testers in a few minutes, but on the weekend it seems to take
some time to rustle up testers, so anything we can do after the update
this evening or tomorrow would be great.
I've copied this to the trans list in case folks aren't watching docs.

Turkish Translations
by Hasan Alp iNAN
Hi
I have translated some of the Turkish language files. But i could not find
where to put these files. Only have my permission to download files on
Transifex. I tried to send with git. I don't know git very well.
For example:
git push git://git.fedorahosted.org/git/system-config-boot.git
fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly
But i failed. I'm guessing this is not allowed to write into file.
I attached the files I've translated. Can someone add this files to repo who
has permission to write files? Thank you in advance.
Best Regards

Published Guides

I just published the Accessibility Guide, Readme Burning ISOs, and
Security Guide in all languages that are at least 90% translated. These
should be showing up on the docs.fp.o website shortly. Please let me
know if there are any problems.
Also, I've noticed that someone from the Spanish translation team has
been publishing their guides when they are complete. Thanks! If any
other individual/team would like to do this as well please let me know
and I'll get you setup with the tools you need to make this happen.
Thanks to all the translators for your hard work!

Revised wording for Feedback section
by Ruediger Landmann
Hi all:
The start of each of our manuals contains a "Feedback" section that
tells readers how to report bugs against the document. Last week, Sparks
and I started wondering if the wording could be improved a little.
========
Present wording:
"We Need Feedback!
If you find a typographical error in this manual, or if you have thought
of a way to make this manual better, we would love to hear from you!
Please submit a report in Bugzilla: http://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/
against the product Fedora Documentation.
When submitting a bug report, be sure to mention the manual's
identifier: install-guide
If you have a suggestion for improving the documentation, try to be as
specific as possible when describing it. If you have found an error,
please include the section number and some of the surrounding text so we
can find it easily. "
========
My suggestion:
"We Need Feedback!
If you find an error in this manual, or if you think of a way to make
this manual better, we would love to hear from you!
To report an error or make a suggestion:
1. Visit Red Hat Bugzilla to enter a bug for Fedora Documentation:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/enter_bug.cgi?product=Fedora%20Documentation
2. Sign in with your Red Hat Bugzilla account, or create an account if
you do not already have one.
3. Select this manual (install-guide) from the list of Components.
4. Write a short summary of the error or suggestion in the Summary field.
5. Describe the error or suggestion in more detail in the Description
field. If you have a suggestion to improve the documentation, be as
specific as possible. If you have found an error, please include the
section number and some of the surrounding text so we can find it easily.
6. Click the Submit Bug button."
========
Other ideas or refinements welcome! What do you think?
Cheers
Rudi
