Re: release notes update
by Ruediger Landmann
OK - I just pushed the following changes (and incremented the version
number to 1.4):
* Fixed the table problem in i18n
* Updated the Volume Control information (including the correct GNOME
menu entry -- thanks, Paul!)
* Added a note about Archer (including the warning that Tom Tromey
requested) This actually hadn't been included...
* Added a note about moin
* Added a note about Presto
* Added a link to a wiki page about configuring fingerprint readers
(Thanks Domingo)
Thanks, Susan for your excellent roadmap of what was missed first time
around, and a BIG thanks in advance to the translators for your
willingness to get a 0-day update ready!
Cheers
Ruediger

Sorry for my mistake. To all
by Microcai
Sorry for my mistake.
I've re-commit the correct file.
There is problem here in china. DNS fails to resove non .cn domain .
I was afraid that the government will force-out the fedora websites.
The government has already force-out the youtube.com , that's well
known.
Just a mistake. Though I can re-commit to cover, that breaks the rule.
I love Fedora. I want to contribute to fedora. Make it a best OS for
human beings , that's one of my dream.
Don't kick me out! Please.
Give me one more time, please.

release notes for F11
by Domingo Becker
It's hard to find where to read more about how to configure
fingerprint readers mentioned in "5.2.1. Fingerprint Readers" of
Fedora 11 Release Notes.
Unlike other new sections, it has no links at all.
Is it possible to add it some links for further reading ?
thanks
kind regards

Fedora 11 Website Translations
by Ricky Zhou
Hi, sorry for being a bit late with this, but the Fedora 11 website is
now frozen for translations. As usual, most of the changes will be
"Fedora 10" -> "Fedora 11" changes (sorry I couldn't find a way to
cleanly automatically update these - in the future, we'll be making the
version number a variable that will only need to be translated in one
place).
Note that if your translation is complete and it is not currently
enabled (it is not listed in
http://git.fedoraproject.org/git/fedora-web.git?p=fedora-web.git;a=blob;f...
), please email fedora-websites-list(a)redhat.com so that we can make sure
to add it to the necessary configs.
You can submit translations and see the current status at:
https://translate.fedoraproject.org/tx/projects/fedora-web/master-fedorap...
Thanks a lot,
Ricky
(Sorry if you're seeing this email several times, it was suggested that
we CC all of the translation lists when sending these out)

Could you now please add them in Lingus file for publishing if not yet?
* fedoraporject.org
Korean (ko) and Chinese Traditional (zh_TW)
* talk.fedoraproject.org
French (fr), Japanese (ja), Russian (ru), Chinese Simplified (zh_CN) and
Chinese Traditional (zh_YW)
* fedorahosted.org
French (fr), Japanese (ja), Chinese Traditional (zh_TW)
thanks

comps change for Fedora 11: removal of specspo?
by Bill Nottingham
A week ago we were dealing with how to make both the DVD images
fit on a DVD, and the Live images fit on a CD. We made the decision
to remove specspo from the base group:
http://cvs.fedoraproject.org/viewvc/comps/comps-f11.xml.in?r1=1.210&r2=1.211
based on the following reasons:
1) The translations in it have not been updated since October of 2007
2) I was unable to ascertain a functional upstream for this package,
so there both are no updated translations that could be pulled, nor
a way to actually submit updated ones
That being said, in retrospect, this should be run past the localization
steering committee.
Would you prefer obsolete, incomplete, and unfixable (at this time)
translations for package summaries and descriptions over no translations?
If so, we can put this back and try and find the space elsewhere.
