A question about translation out of the freezing time frame.
by Rui Gouveia
Hi,
Now that the F12 is out, and work for the F13 is under way, I would like
to ask some questions:
If we maintain the PO files in the F12 tree, adding translations for new
strings until the string freeze window for f13, what happen to these
addictions? Are they lost or are they merged in the POT files for F13?
Should we maintain the F13 tree instead?
The guides are big. Usually, during the string freeze windows, we
concentrate our efforts mainly in the GUI interface and applications,
and these are left for last and never finished. Now that things are
slower, if we want to contribute work for these modules, whats the
proper way to do it?
Than You All

Good Day,
I am Votta Luigi from Italy and I would dedicate some time to translate
Fedora Documentations from english to italian.
I have a primary degree in Electronics.
I use Fedora from the beginnings of its adventure to produce docs, to
navigate the web, hear musics, play (Mahjongg and AisleRiot are
preferred).
I have good knowledge of C programming and some understanding of
computer architectures, gained at University.

F12 Virtualization Guide
by Noriko Mizumoto
Hi,
Funny string is found at string#1015, which reads;
"Using the Fedora <command>kernel-xen</command> package requires a speci
TODO"
After chatting with the author on #feodra-docs, this string will be
removed as kernel-xen is not present in Fedora.
cheers

Self-Introduction: Thomas Spitzmann
by Thomas Spitzmann
Hi,
my name is Thomas Spitzmann.
I currently live in a small village called Brietlingen 52 km south east
of Hamburg in Germany.
My FAS user name is tspitzmann and I will translate into the German
language.
I'm an IT Specialist currently looking for a new job...
I am dealing with Fedora for a veeeery long time with some breaks
getting in touch with SuSE, Mandrake, Ubuntu, even Debian in the
meantime. But every year or so I returned to Fedora...
I am interested in translating programs and documentation mainly.
As I am dealing with computers and PCs since the 80th and due to my
profession I would rate my knowledge as "professional".
In the past I worked on translation projects of the BeOS programming
guide and wrote some HowTos for Fedora (Core).

Hi all!
Slava, one of the Midnight Commander upstream maintainers pleased me
to contact you, the professional community translators :) to help with
translations of the MC project which will be released soon, just needs
a bit of translation updating. I' sure you know the mc as many of you
are long-time users of it in Fedora.
If you are interested, please contact Slava or me with the details.
Thanks much!
Jindrich
P.S. Slava's email is attached.

Hi, Jindrich.
Sorry for this personal mail... but I don't know about anyone other
competent person...
Is Red Hat (or Fedora community) have translate teams? We need for
translations for mc. In early December will release mc and now project
was in stabilization stage: in 'master' branch allowed just bugfixing
and code cleanups. Also, any changes of i18n text was frozen until mc
release out. Therefore we published a request for translations:
http://mail.gnome.org/archives/mc-devel/2009-October/msg00031.html (at
end of annouce). But nobody cares :(
Therefore my request to you here: is you may help with translations?
Any help from you will be very valuable to us - link to wiki, emails of
translation teams etc.
WBR, Slavaz.

I'm CCing this mail to the Fedora Translation list and to Dimitris
Glezos and Diego Búrigo Zacarão personally. They are also upstream
Transifex developers, so they're probably the best people to answer any
questions on setting up Transifex commit access.
