system-config-printer translations: not on elvis

Need to break string freeze for system-config-samba bugfix

Hi there, I've already built the system-config-samba-1.2.48-1.fc8 package (didn't know that would violate policy). This contains a new dialog which warns about unknown Samba configuration options instead of throwing a traceback, see: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=247541 IMO, it would be better to keep the new string in without it being translated than throwing it out again. Is it just me, or are the stats for comps and comps-legacy mixed up on the FLP website? Also, any chance of opening up CVS access to comps, or should we just keep waiting for Transifex? Regards, Miloš

I'd like to update the translations in initscripts: A fully translated checkout will go from: mk.po: 785 translated messages. to: mk.po: 726 translated messages, 97 fuzzy translations, 34 untranslated messages. Why we're changing now: Unfortunately, updating the initscripts list of translatable strings is a manual process that first requires installing every package that has a translatable file - this is a constantly changing set. It would have been done before the string freeze, except I was on vacation. Impact of not doing it: Some initscripts will not be translated. Yay/nay? Bill

i18n access

In the past days I applied for i18n account to start with the translation of some strings, today I tried to follow the given instructions I recieved with registration confirmation email and from https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-trans-list/2003-December/msg00001.ht… However this is what I recieve: alias rhcvs='export CVSROOT=:ext:covex@i18n.redhat.com:/usr/local/CVS; export CVS_RSH=ssh' $ rhcvs $ cvs -z9 co translate Connection closed by 66.187.233.241 cvs [checkout aborted]: end of file from server (consult above messages if any) What am I doing wrong? Hi, I am not able to attend the meeting sorry, but added some agenda. I hope that anyone in this list can keep rolling a ball together. # TQSG splitting task completed, encourage yourself to declair any chapter you can update. Anyone raise a hand? I know someone who are very kind and made a patch to update a part of Chapter2. See bug#228872. # The usage of transifex, how can I checkout/commit via transifex? I am in trouble to find clear instruction for translator in the mailing list how to use transifex and access various packages for especially updating TQSG purpose. It is great timing to know, so that the guide also should be updated. If it is there, pardon me my laziness and greatly appreciated to direct me. ciao from downunder noriko
