[Fedora-trans-announce] F9 schedule slip to 13 May

Fellow Contributors: Although I'm a bit sad that the Fedora 9 schedule had to slip[1], I am happy on two accounts: * More time for l10n * FESCo made a hard decision but the right one, for the right reasons Therefore, we are moving back the deadline for translation of these parts of the fedora-release-notes package to 29 April (two additional weeks): * Release Notes [2] * About Fedora [3] * Readme [4] * Readme Burning ISOs [5] * Readme Live Image [6] The Fedora Docs schedule[7] has been updated to reflect this new schedule. [Fedora-trans-announce] ignore small changed in POT file in release-notes

On Friday I made an update to the kernel version in en_US/Kernel.xml. We decided to wait until all translations were in, then change the string by hand in the PO files. Yesterday a new POT was accidentally built and committed. You are free to accept this change yourself, or you can let me fix the PO file later. One change was introduced: kernel 2.4.24 => kernel 2.4.25rc Sorry for any confusion. In the future we'll make sure to send announcements for any changes like this to avoid problems. For the first time, the nomination period for the to-be formed Fedora Localization Steering Committee is now open. FLSCo will consist of 7 people from our translation community and these will be the project leaders for the upcoming 6 months. Want to be part of all this? Have some briljant ideas for making the translation project even better? The election will take place from April 14th until April 20th. All members of the cvsl10n group in the Fedora Accounts System have the right to become member of FLSCo and will be able to vote in the election. You might be asking why we are doing this? Because it's the right thing to do, and it also happens to be required by the Fedora Project. We feel that a lot of people in this project have great ideas and fresh points of view which will help the Fedora L10N Project become way better!
