Hi Robert
It seems you already had some disscussions about that specific char "ß".
IMHO we have to agree on a consistent spelling when translating. But for me
it's not an issue.
You're right, there are some minor differences in spelling - but we agree on
the same orthographic rules, see
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deutsche_Rechtschreibung.
Nevertheless it makes absolutely no sense to keep more than one German
language site alive just because of one char which is written differently.
So I guess everyone can agree on that, that the Swiss German users should be
redirected to the German language site?!
Cheers, Roman

that is simply wrong,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swiss_German. The de_CH
was introduced because the Swiss people don't have "ß" (Unicode U+00DF)
and
they have some more phrases that aren't common in Germany (and
vice
versa).
One of the first guys who translated the Fedora static websites to German
is from Switzerland and really disliked the "ß", that's why the locale was
switched from de_DE to de_CH.
And no, no "ß" within the German static Fedora websites is not an option
to
me, the German language has and uses the "ß".
Greetings,
Robert
