Anaconda PO File
by Sherif Abdelgawad
Basem,
You had the file for sometime
now with 7 untranslated & 11 fuzy.
I do not think you did commit any update.
Are you still working on it? You mentioned
in a previous email that you are 100% done,
if so can you commit the file please?
Thanks

Re: Fedora-trans-ar Digest, Vol 2, Issue 6
by maha helwa
Hello All..
Okey Sherif.. things cleared now :) thanks for this clarification :))
So i'll start with this one 'apacheconfpo'.. Is anyone reviewed this file!!
By the way.. I think we should keep track of changes as mohamed said.. so we
need CVS or any such tools ..don't know .. at least to know how many times
this file has been reviewed and which words more fuzzy..
BR,
Maha.

Hello..
am just a new member here.. and actually i don't know what's your state or
your
progress at the project.. but i'd like to particpate in the QA part (h3sor
3la nafsi
lamona).. because i guess this could force me to know more about linux in
general or
in more details..
But i am asking to outline the issues that should be tested clearly..(esp.
detailed
issues). as am not mastering fedora or RH or linux ..
so Here is my idea exactly:
1. Everyone who did something technically..coded something or change
something a
package or whatever..should clarify a list of issues of what he thinks could
be a
problem and need to be well tested in 1 2 3.. steps :)
2. AFter that a list should be made per module.. someone gathers all lists
in the same
module in one list..
3. The Testers..Everybody should go through these steps and apply the
testing.
4. we should start testing each module alone then start the integration
testing and do
the same thing list the important issues that should be tested in
integration
testing.. this time we should focus on the interfaces between the modules
and
concenrate the testing work on them.
5. One last thing..make a free testing.. test everywhere.. download another
packages
installing other softwares got its own translation packages.. ma3 khayloh.
it could be
nonsense what am saying.. what am trying to say fetch a bug here..
so sherif.. you could start specifiying these modules or the interfaces
between them..
and each one in the group say what he thinks should be tested..
Anyway before we(The testers) start Testing the(experties) should OUTLINE
the problems
or issuses that should be tested. First to be sure the important points
didn't miss
out..
Sorry that am talking so generic and maybe therotically speaking but that's
may first
email.. and maybe from your discussions over here i could figure out more
details
about the QA plan and what you are going to do.. hope i could be active
member here.
Thanks..
Maha.

FC3 & Arabic Translation
by Sherif Abdelgawad
Guys,
As the last announcement of the the deadlines.
I would like to discuss and see where we stand.
I spent the last two days fixing a problem with
my CVS access, thanks to Sarah I got this fixed
few hours ago. I wanted to finish the Anaconda,
now I am happy to see that Basem Narmok took it :)
I want to know when we are expecting to have 100%
done? Munzir where are you wrt to the dist file?
I had a look at some of the files translated,
and I really find a lot of poor grammer, and
weired translation, which need serious QA.
So I belive the QA process will take more time
than just the translaiton took. So how about we
start this at least for the stuff are done.
I have sometime this week which I can really
would like to use fully to help here.
There are some terms we need to discuss about
how the best translation for it.
So guys, what do you think we should do?
First I think we should put schdule to meet
FC3 timelines and have this release come with
100% translation.
Second, I think we need to discuss the terms
and translation to reach a point where it is
acceptable.
Thirs, QA Process :)
Please let me know what you guys think, and how
we should go on from here.
Thanks
Sherif

Sorry guys for being away, just I wasn't in front of my computer.
Well, let us see

I vote for Munzir Taha to be the maintainer of the modules :-) (don't hate me
for that Munzir)

And I vote for Sherif here too, although the job doesn't need 24 hours
presence, but I believe we shouldn't give all the work to a single
person/entity.
So, I vote for Munzir in the modules, and Sherif for the mailing list.

Arabic Maintainer

I guess after things are cleared now, it is
time to get a maintainer. I am voting for
Mr Munzir to take maintainer role for the
arabic module as he is the one coordinating
with his team, and I see no problem on that :)
M. Deskoky, do you agree on that? If you do
and Munzir agree I would appreciate if Sarah
can make him the maintainer of the mailing
list and the modules :)
Thanks

Here it appears in specspo/dist/ar.po!! However, I tried both as you can see.

I have already tried this
[munzir@localhost cvs]$ cvs -z9 co specspo/ar.po
Enter passphrase for key '/home/munzir/.ssh/id_dsa':
cvs server: warning: new-born specspo/ar.po has disappeared
[munzir@localhost cvs]$ cvs status -v specspo/ar.po
Enter passphrase for key '/home/munzir/.ssh/id_dsa':
cvs server: nothing known about specspo/ar.po
===================================================================
File: no file ar.po Status: Unknown
Working revision: No entry for ar.po
Repository revision: No revision control file
[munzir@localhost cvs]$ cvs status -v specspo/dist/ar.po
Enter passphrase for key '/home/munzir/.ssh/id_dsa':
cvs [status aborted]: no such directory `specspo/dist'
