Hi,
may I get pushed
https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/gdb-7.2-16.fc14
to F14-stable? F14-stable has either gdb-7.2-4.fc14 on FTPs
http://sunsite.mff.cuni.cz/MIRRORS/fedora.redhat.com/linux/releases/test/...
but at least gdb-7.2-4.fc14 cannot even
(gdb) print 1+2
GDB does not (yet) know how to evaluate that kind of expression
due to gcc-4.5.1-3.fc14.x86_64:
-O1 wrong-code by cmove
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=634757
Bodhi last "stable" shows gdb-7.2-6.fc14
https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/search/gdb
which works
(gdb) print 1+2
$1 = 3
but it is not present on FTPs:
GDB runs under regression testing by its heavy testsuite. But as there is 1+
new builds per week due to some serious new fixes it can never make it to the
stable repo, both the time + karma get reset by a new build.
The broken build got into Koji as I do the regression testing before build
using the scripts
http://sourceware.org/ml/archer/2010-q3/msg00194.html but:
* using -O0 for easier troubleshooting; I may review this decision
* locally in mock, which may not match the Koji buildroots content
This way the build broken by GCC optimizations could get into Bodhi/Koji.
Thanks,
Jan
