Hmm, perhaps. The end of the report suggests that it might be a
pthreads or kernel bug, yuck. Beagle seems to not be working either
as is noted in some of the comments. That possibly might explain the
whole slew of programs that are just not working on this system.
Anyone have any suggestions of how to troubleshoot this?
My previous kernel got uninstalled when yum updated me to the current
one (?), so I cannot go back and check that. As well, rpm does not
want to let me install the older kernel (?). I do still have the
original FC5T2 kernel, perhaps that is worth a try.
Mono apps hanging definitely seems to be related especially if it a
locking/thread issue. Both mono and java use threads for the garbage
collector. An strace shows tomboy stopping in a futex call.
I added a bug,
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=179304,
for the mono apps problem.
