I think many users are bound to try KDM instead. Perhaps the script should
be patched to check for either.
/etc/X11/prefdm does check, and uses $DISPLAYMANAGER if set in
/etc/sysconfig/desktop.
Or, are you referring to the script used to *modify* /etc/sysconfig/desktop?
That used to be switchdesk, right? Though switchdesk switches nothing
currently, in either a system or user sense.
