You might want open up one console ( Xterm, or konsole, your choice ) then
go 'su' and type in 'tail -f /var/log/messages'.
After you do that, try to redetect sound via 'Redhat Main Menu > System
Setting > Soundcard Detection'.
Now watch what the messages say and report back. Smile. This used to be a
problem in RH 9.0 until they released kernel 2.4.20-18.9. Heh, ironically,
I was able to get around that by using the old RH8 kernel RPM and booting to
that to get any sound at all. But I believe for the purpose of this beta
testing, we want to use newer kernels?
