Fedora 16 beta running on 64-core AMD
/var/log/messages: Oct 5 23:16:29 marbles autofs[2215]: Starting automount: #033[60G[#033[0;32m OK #033[0;39m] Oct 5 23:17:22 marbles rpc.statd[2268]: Version 1.2.4 starting Oct 5 23:17:22 marbles rpc.statd[2268]: Flags: TI-RPC Oct 5 23:17:22 marbles rpc.statd[2268]: failed to create RPC listeners, exiting
Tried yum install rcpbind but it didn't make a difference. autofs config files as on a Fedora 15 machine. /etc/init.d/autofs start is OK But when I try to cd into an auto-mounted directory the messages above appear in /var/log. Any hints? Thanks! Ralf
For the record: I ran yum -y update and rebooted. Now the auto-mounter works. I didn't try to reboot before the yum update; maybe that would have done it, too. Ralf
