I've tryed kernel-2.6.0-0.test9.1.90 yesterday. No sound at all (i810
audio
with 2.4, ECS K7S5A - SIS 735 chipset) even after I loaded every module
from
the sound drivers. Kudzu complained thad my RTL8139C and 3Com 3C59x were
removed
(I told it to do nothing) and after this that they were installed (do
nothing
again) and they worked just fine.
Another disadvantage is that when I 'hdparm -Tt /dev/hda' with the 2.4
kernel
I'm getting 333MB/sec chached and 53MB/sec raw transfer vs 333MB/sec
chached and
32MB/sec raw with 2.6 (80GB Baracuda/7200RPM).
ps: I found no scsi emulation (ide-scsi) and had to reconfigure my CD.
